unexplained-events:

On an Island north of Siberia, frozen remains of a mammoth have been discovered with blood that is STILL liquid! The 10,000-year-old beast was found on one of the Lyakhovsky Islands in the Novosibirsk archipelago off the northern coast of Siberia. Researchers from the Northeastern Federal University in Yakutsk poked the remains with an ice pick and, incredibly, blood flowed out.

Since the temperature during excavation was -7 to -10 degrees celsius, the scientist say that “It may be assumed that the blood of mammoths had some cryoprotective properties”. How fucking awesome is that!?

Human Error Series by Victoria Siemer

“Human Error” series has been thought by graphic designer Victoria Siemer (alias Witchoria). She creates polaroids from pictures she takes and adds on them alert, bug or updating messages’ windows that appear on Mac. A smart encounter between photography and the digital era.,

"Tree Hugger"
I didn’t get a chance to post this while at SDCC, but this was my contribution to Mondo’s set of Gaurdian prints. Sold out super quick! I’ll have some artist proofs at some point. Thanks to everyone who came by the booth! It was a lot of fun meeting everyone!

exhibition-ism:

My latest collaboration with Martina Merlini.
Martina and I have been invited to an event that took place in my town Rimini, Italy at the beginning of July. The two curators transformed Villa Manzi, a dismissed hotel in front of the beach, in a 3-stories container of art, photography and music.
We took over a room and filled it with a blend of our (so) different styles, turning an old and modest space with a view on the seaside to -let’s call it- a mess in three dimensions to surround the viewer.
It’s been super fun and challenging to work with Martina, especially trying to achieve a consistent harmony between her informal work and my figurative pieces.
